JEANETTE MACDONALD   $15.00
Hands-down one our most requested files, along with that of partner Nelson Eddy. We present Miss MacDonald's 17-page will (loaded with pages of specific bequests), a 3-page codicil and 2 pages of funeral information.
MARJORIE MAIN   $10.00
This fine character actress was certainly best known for her portrayal of MA KETTLE in the Universal series of classic comedies. Miss Main left a four page will and two handwritten codicils (leaving much of her estate to Pepperdine University) to which we've added a very detailed inventory and Appraisement of her estate.
JAYNE MANSFIELD   $10.00
Miss Mansfield died intestate (without a will). Included are 6 pages of petitions as well as other materials, including a copy of the death certificate.
HATTIE McDANIEL   $15.00
Best known for her portrayal of Mammy in GONE WITH THE WIND, Miss McDaniel left a 13 page will which is loaded with bequests and is very specific in the details pertaining to her requested funeral. An interesting note in her will is the mention of her race, and her concern over the problems it might cause in her selection of cemeteries. Two pages of funeral info and death certificate included.
AUDREY MEADOWS   $10.00
Alice Kramden of HONEYMOONERS fame, what we offer are 15 pages pertaining to the Audrey Meadows Trust (because of the Trust, the will was not probated). These documents establish the fact that the trust was established in such a hurry (as Meadows was "mortally ill") that the trust, per se`, may actually not exist. Four interesting pages of the trust, including signatures, are included.
ETHEL MERMAN   $10.00
The fabulous Miss Merman left a fairly standard 10 page will to which we have added a two page partial cash inventory of her estate, a single page of funeral expenses, a single page of Testamentary Letters and a copy of the death certificate.
MARY MILES MINTNER   $15.00
Miss Mintner was a great beauty of the silent screen era whose popularity actually rivaled that of Mary Pickford. Included in this interesting file are two short wills (one handwritten), four Petitions for Probate, a petition contesting the will(s), pages and pages of claims and rejections, and a four page Inventory and Appraisement. This 31 page file also includes the death certificate.
CARMEN MIRANDA   $15.00
Miss Miranda may have died intestate, but we think that you will find what we offer here extremely interesting. This package includes a single page Petition for Letters of Administration, a detailed 4 page Inventory and Appraisement of the estate, and single page Final Discharge. Most enlightening are the 10 pages of funeral info which includes undertaking costs and a claim and contract involving her mausoleum and a statue of Miss Miranda to be erected in Rio de Janeiro. Lastly is a claim by a Hollywood boot maker regarding her memorable platform shoes, and a copy of the death certificate. An excellent package.
MARILYN MONROE - WILL   $20.00
Now containing 45 pages of fascinating materials, and a great find for any film buff. Three page will (plus a 5 page attorney's transcription of the will), a very interesting closing statement from her doctor/psychiatrist as well as a few agents' contracts signed by Miss Monroe; Recent additions include an 11 page private appraisal of Monroe's belongings and to whom they were sold, 2 page Inventory and Appraisement, 3 page Order Confirming Sale (of personal property) 8 pages of creditor's claims (doctors, photographers, hair stylists, etc.), copies of the Interlocutory & Final Judgments in her divorce from Joe DiMaggio, and lastly a copy of the death certificate. (See the Lee Strasburg documents for more Monroe info). The Monroe autopsy report appears in our Odds & Ends Catalogue. We have also just added the divorce file for Marilyn Monroe and James Dougherty from 1946.
ELIZABETH MONTGOMERY   $20.00
It goes without saying that Miss Montgomery bewitched us all. Her 18-page will is somewhat cut and dry, primarily discussing her family trust. To this we add a three page Inventory and Appraisement showing the value of her estate, 7 pages including the Petition for Probate, and finally, the death certificate.
AGNES MOOREHEAD   $15.00
Another great character actress, and later a co-star on TV's BEWITCHED. Lengthy and detailed 18 page will, a single page Letter of Testamentary and 4 pages of funeral information. Death certificate included.
MAE MURRAY   $10.00
It’s been a long-held belief that May Murray, in her declining years, was the inspiration for the Norma Desmond character in Billy Wilder’s SUNSET BLVD., though Wilder never confirmed it. What we offer is a 12 page probate file outlining Murray’s minimal (valued at less than $500) possessions, turned over to the State of California Public Administrator after her death and eventually sold at auction. A little IMDB trivia: Rudolph Valentino was best man at her 1926 marriage to Prince David Mdivani, and Pola Negri was matron of honor.
ONA MUNSON   $10.00
The multi-talented state, screen, radio and vaudeville actress died of an overdose of sleeping pills in 1955. She left a simple 3 page will (we supply the attorney's copy which does not bear her signature), plus the 3 page inventory and valuation of her estate.
MABEL NORMAND   $15.00
Silent screen actress, and at one time Mack Sennett's girlfriend, Miss Normand died in 1930 at the age of 35, and left behind a simple, single page will. What makes this file so worthwhile are the 9 pages of creditors claims (includes funeral info), the Petition for Probate, distribution reports, tax appraisals, and the death certificate, for a total of 26 pages.
EDNA MAY OLIVER   $15.00
She had a face that could stop most clocks, but was a favorite comedic character actress in her day. Her 1940 will is 7 bequest-laden pages, to which we add an extremely detailed 13 page Inventory and Appraisement of her estate, 4 pages of funeral information plus the Letters Testamentary & Letters of Administration.
MARY PICKFORD     $20.00
Miss Pickford, surely best known as "America's Sweetheart" was also a founding member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, as well as United Artists, along with Douglas Fairbanks and Charlie Chaplin. Her very detailed will is 30 pages, to which we add 5 (!) codicils totaling an additional 19 pages. Death certificate also included.
ELEANOR POWELL   $10.00
In our opinion, one of the unsung first ladies of film. Four page will, 2 page Petition for Probate, 3 page Inventory and Appraisement, and lastly a copy of Miss Powell's death certificate.
